The construction of a wind farm project usually consists of two groups of major activities:

The construction process for wind farms is an intense components construction process, that requires an initial on-site investigation process, design and master plan preparation, early procurement of key equipment with long lead-times (i.e. wind generators, transformers, etc.) is critical. The process starts with the building of roads and assembly platforms for towers and generators, and continues with preparation - construction of generator foundations, construction of the control room, excavation and cabling of the collection system, construction of the substation, logistics, transportation and delivery of the wind generator, towers and blades, installation of the transformers, electric & communication connection of wind generators to the collection system, control room and substation.
The construction process culminates with the commissioning of each generator, followed by commissioning of the complete project.
