RenewablesTurboPower Renewables is the first 100% Mexican group that successfully has lead and directed a full EPC Contract (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) for a Wind Farm in Mexico; as it has made a reality the La Rumorosa I Wind Farm, located a few miles from the town of La Rumorosa, in the municipality of Tecate, Baja California, Mexico, right at the eastern limit of the Sierra Juarez.

TurboPower Renewables has a staff of professionals dedicated to the development of projects, with experience and specialization in the different aspects of project development.

TurboPower Renewables directs and coordinates the development of renewable energy generation opportunities, specially the development of wind energy projects, by being able to manage the procurement, resource evaluation, design engineering, permits processing, regulatory management, environmental management, community relations management, transmission & interconnection and contracting for the project.

TurboPower Renewables applies its expertise in project development to differentiate between a viable development site and which is not, this ability is particularly critical in rugged and difficult terrain as its the case in northwestern Mexico.

Even though no one site is the same as the other and each possess its own particular challenges, the following is a general view of the process:
  • Identify the areas with viable resources, compatible uses and transmission logistics
  • Identification and mapping of the prospect site
  • Establish a relationship with land owners and negotiate renewable resources measuring agreements
  • Maintain strategic relations with local interest groups, including stakeholders, governmental agencies, leaders of opinion, environmental groups, chambers of industry and commerce, etc.
  • Project planning and design
  • Environmental evaluation and related studies
  • Initiate permits processes
  • Meetings and negotiations with local service and material suppliers
  • Interconnection and transmission agreements
  • Construction management
  • Operation start-up
Engineering

Engineering

TurboPower Renewables has the capability to perform the design and specifications of the engineering activities for roads, foundations and electric collector systems.

TurboPower Renewables also utilizes strategic alliances with engineering companies, among others, to pull together engineering resources to support the work, particularly in the design detail for substations and transmission lines.

Effective planning and programming are key activities for the success of the project, and TurboPower Renewables project management staff continuously reviews, monitor and updates the plans and programs of the project to assure that the project is completed on time.

TurboPower Renewables and its team of engineers perform in detail the design and specifications of the civil and electric works. The civil and geotechnical engineering team produces wind generator foundation designs that are practical and viable with emphasis on reasoned costs that respond to the terrain requirements for each site.

Construction

TurboPower Renewables as the first 100% Mexican full EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor of a wind farm in Mexico, has the proven experience of successfully performing wind farm projects.

TurboPower Renewables has the experience and resources necessary to direct, control and manage all key aspects to successfully construct a wind farm. The administration of engineering, costs, project management, safety & environmental management, community & governmental relations management, procurement of goods & services processes and contracting are manage in its entirety by TurboPower under an "Outcome- Responsibility to our client" principal; and our strategic alliance contractors and suppliers that participate in construction of the wind generator, geotechnical investigation, supply of equipment and materials, and site preparation (roads, foundations, cabling, erection, substation and transmission lines) are bound by the same principal.
